Temperley London = Love

I've recently visited one of my favourite shops that has lots of nice knitted dresses & blouses & remembered falling in love with the collections by Temperley London.

Their stuff looks so beautiful and ready to wear ! The patterns & details of their outfits are wonderful. Elegant, feminine, nothing is over the top.

You can see their collections here:

How to dress up for a job interview

I have had several job interviews & was asked to come for a second time in most of the cases, so I can state that my clothing didn't leave a bad impression.

I have to mention though that I showed up for jobs that didn't involve an elegant dress code (my cousin has such a job, I can ask her what she wore at her interviews, it would be interesting to have more people's opinions here anyway ;) )

At my first ever interview, I wore a red plaid short-sleeved shirt, similar to the one pictured below (be careful, it shouldn't look too casual! My checkers were small, like in the picture & the shirt had a cord that I could tie around myself to accentuate my middle) with tight black pants or a dark wash denim pencil skirt (I don't remember exactly) with ballerina shoes.

At my second interview, for another company, I wore a knitted long-sleeved v-neck pullover with the same black pants. I don't remember if I wore ballerina shoes or heels. BE CAREFUL, pullovers usually look too casual ! If you have a simple, long-sleeved shirt (which I didn't), GO FOR IT ! You can choose a skirt instead of pants, but be careful when it comes to its length. If it's one palm shorter than knee-length, it's okay.

A month ago, I had 2 interviews for 2 different companies in 1 week. I wore a v-neck shirt, a black blazer, some very confortable fabric pants that I'm very proud of (their colour is metallic grey) & black heels.

At a meeting with a CIO I wore a tight black form-fitting v-neck shirt & a pair of navy pants (not jeans).

I will ask my cousin about her interview & will post some suggestions for now.

My reccomendations, generally speaking: simple white button-up shirt, skirt (pencil skirts, for example, are awesome. they make you look soooo elegant :) ) or long fabric pants with heels.

One of my favs, Lily Allen (ignore her facial expression, that is not appropiate for a job interview, lol) ! Very classy & the blouse is somewhat similar to what I wore at the meeting with the CIO.
